Book Lovers & Kindred Spirits is a website created to feature books that linger in your heart and in your mind, long after you have reached the final page. 

While there are exceptions, we will mostly feature books in the following genres:

• Coming-of-age books
• Young adult books
• New adult books
• Contemporary fiction
• Contemporary romance
• Historical fiction
• Literary fiction
• Women's fiction
• Family sagas

While we love the classics and will feature many here, we are always looking for new books with the same spirit. With the same spirit of characters that stick with us, of characters that make us laugh, love, cry, and feel deeply. We hope to capture the essence of Anne of Green Gables, who is a book lover, a fighter for justice, and who is always looking for kindred and searching for kindred spirits. 

The classics are amazing, but kindred spirits are not a one-size-fits-all, and unfortunately, the classics lack diversity. Here at Book Lovers & Kindred Spirits, we will be featuring diverse books that have the same essence of characters who linger and stories that touch us deeply. 

Book Lovers & Kindred Spirits is not as much a review site, as it is a database of book recommendations fitting to our standards, aesthetics, and reading desires.
